Privacy Policy

NextMatch.net (“NextMatch”, “we”) publishes football scores, fixtures, standings, news and match predictions at nextmatch.net and in the NextMatch Android app. The app displays this website, so this policy covers both.

You do not sign up or log in, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location.

The teams you follow (“My teams”) and whether you dismissed the “add to home screen” prompt are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not sent to us unless you turn on match alerts (below), and clearing your browser or app data removes them.

If you turn on alerts, your browser gives us a push address for this device (issued by Google, Mozilla, Microsoft or Apple, depending on your browser) and we store it with the ids of the teams you follow. We use it only to send kick-off, goal and full-time notifications for those teams. It contains no name, email or location, and we do not share it.

Turning alerts off, or blocking notifications for nextmatch.net in your browser or phone settings, deletes or disables the push address; addresses that stop working are removed automatically.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and your IP address, which Google uses to estimate your approximate region. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views in aggregate without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.

Pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads and may personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

News stories and video highlights link to the outlets and channels that published them. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you open them.

NextMatch is a general-audience sports site and is not directed at children under 13.
